Hyphenated thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC\/MS), referred to as TG-GC\/MS, enables in-depth characterization of evolved gases through real-time analysis of the products resulting from the thermal decomposition of the suspended microplastic matter.
