Three quadrupoles:

The quadrupole ion deflector (Q0) directs ions to the Universal Cell (Q1) with varying voltages, so that target ion sensitivity is maximized and unwanted mass is eliminated.
The quadrupole multipurpose cell (Q1) uses up to three gases with rapid gas mixing, preventing reaction by-products from interfering with target analytes.
The Quadrupole Transmission Analyzer acts as a mass filter or as an ion guide to guide ions to the detector.

The all-matrix solution (AMS) enables gas dilution, improving efficiency and preventing contamination, providing up to 200-fold dilution and the ability to support dissolved solids samples up to 35%.
